Welcome to tekbites - technology training in manageable, bite size chunks.

We've only just started, so please check back regularly for changes and additions.

On the site you'll find all sorts of resources to help you become a Word, Excel or Powerpoint hero, ninja, warrior or whatever other mythical beast you happen to want to become.  You'll also find loads of stuff to help out with all those problems you've been having with the Microsoft Office products.

And before we start, just a small warning - we are quite opinionated about how these things should be done 'properly'.  That doesn't necessarily mean Microsofts view of properly and it doesn't mean the long boring way.

What it does mean is doing things so they work, as quickly, reliably and maintainably as possible - that is, of course, as long as maintainably is a real word.

Isn't it annoying when you see someone else speeding through a Word document with the ease and grace of a thoroughbred?

If the boss has just asked you to start using Microsoft Excel, the answer to the question above probably ranges from 'The devil incarnate' to 'Maths -- ugggh!!!' and all points in between.

If you've used versions of Excel prior to 2007, you'll probably find Excel 2010 a bit of a culture shock - yep, I'm a master of understatement.
